Club Events 2026-2027
All club related events planned for the 2026-2027 year can be found here.
Casual Weekly Meetups
Our weekly meetups are the heart of the club, and a place to play new people and meet new friends. See the home page for a detailed schedule.
uOttawa Open Tournament
This CFC rated tournament hosted on [TBD] is a great way to get started in classical chess.
CUCC
The Canadian University Chess Championship, or CUCC, is an annual team format tournament that we participate in. This is an experience that goes beyond just chess, and you are sure to make friends along the way. In 2027, this classical tournament takes place in Waterloo from January 15th to 17th.
Pub Chess
We occasionally hold our meetings at Father & Sons pub-- it provides a great atmosphere with the opportunity to enjoy a cold beer with your chess game.
Other Special Events
In addition to everything above, we also hold special events such as potlucks or casual tournaments. In the summer when the weather's nice, we have meetings at Major's Hill park :)
